Wilhelm Hall is part of the Ames Laboratory on the ISU campus. The building is named after Harley Wilhelm, who developed the most efficient process to produce uranium metal for the Manhattan Project. The Scalable Computing Laboratory occupies part of the third floor of Wilhelm Hall.

Wilhelm Hall was originally named the Metallurgy Building and was constructed from 1947 to 1949.
