Welch Road is the same north-south street as Welch Avenue except that between Storm Street and Lincoln Way it is called Welch Avenue. Welch Road continues north into campus, and is the road that goes by Towers immediately to the east, e.g.; the road that goes right by Knapp Hall and Wallace Hall.

Note: Google Maps incorrectly identifies the section of Welch Road next to Towers as Gateway Hills Park Drive, but Gateway Hills Park Drive is only south of Mortensen Road.
