Water is another necessity to life. It can generally be obtained by operating one of the many faucets found throughout Ames and ISU.

Not all water is meant to be drunk. Large quantities of water are stored inside Beyer Hall and the State Gym. If you are properly dressed you are allowed to go swimming.

Not all water is meant to be swum in. Lake Laverne also holds large quantities of water. Those quantities are not nearly as large as the quantities of algae and swan shit.

[edit] Getting Water Service

The City of Ames provides the water, but it doesn't come cheap. You have to sign up for utilities at City Hall. In fact, you sign up for Water and Electricity at the same time, so just follow the instructions on the Electricty page.
