To make subcategories: First of all, to make a category for Foo, just type [[Category:Foo]] anywhere in the page, usually towards the bottom. For subcategories, you just type [[Category:Foo]] anywhere on a category page, again, usually towards the bottom. Mediawiki does the rest.

Ok, now that I think of it, for example: Foo is a page. I think Foo should be a subcategory of Faa. By adding on the Foo page, does it automatically make it a category, which then becomes a subcategory of Faa when I add Category:Foo on the Faa category page, or do I have to create an entirely new page for Foo? - Pages cannot be subcategories, that's just not how Mediawiki does things. You can have Foo be a part of Category:Foo, which can be a subcategory of Category:Faa. Check out Category:ISU and its subcategories to see how they work together. I really can't explain it well without a good example. --Freddie 05:28, 27 January 2006 (CST)
[edit] Skin changes
if you're serious about it, I can make another installation of mediawiki and give you an ftp account that has permission to update the skin files. let me know what's up.--Admin 04:15, 31 January 2006 (CST)
[edit] Pictures
It's great that you're adding pictures to some articles, but I'd suggest citing a source when you add them. I wouldn't want you or RH get into any copyright legal trouble. --Freddie 03:46, 1 February 2006 (CST)
- Sorry if I wasn't very clear -- it all makes sense in my head -- but you don't have to give credit on each page, just on the image's page. When you upload a picture, there's a box in which you can write something about it. And yes, I have way too much time on my hands. --Freddie 00:26, 2 February 2006 (CST)
