Homestar is Probably the greatest poster on Strangetalk. He joined the glorious forum in late 2004 to advertise his (now defunct) website, drunkassbitch.com. Homestar was once a well respected poster however events in June of 2005 changed all of that.

[edit] Homestar's Claim to Strangetalk Fame

Homestar started one of the largest flame wars in Strangetalk history, with flame war related threads consuming the entire first page of the litter box, and several other threads throughout the messageboard. It started as a simple post in the automotive forum about Homestar's car options. He claimed that if he got good grades in school, his dad would buy him any car that he wanted under $40,000. This offended the poorer members of the strangetalk community and attacks on homestar's work ethics and background started a flame war in the automotive forum. The flame spilled into the litter box when Homestar decided to write a long rant about how he was in fact not spoiled. Instead of creating understanding, homestar's rant thread added fuel to the fire and within a day the entire message board was consumed by the flame war. After a few days of constant flame war, certain members of the strangetalk community posted personal (but public) information about homestar including pictures of the inside of his house, the price his house sold for, his parents address and phone numbers. A highly freaked out homestar contacted deepblue and worked out a deal. If homestar agreed not to post for 2 weeks, deepblue would lock certain key threads and end the flame war.
