Uri Sellers

Harold "Uri" Sellers (? – April 20, 1997 4:06 am) was stabbed to death in the chest during the 1997 VEISHEA by Michael Runyan. Sellers was found on the front lawn of the Adelante Fraternity; a call was placed to 911 at 2:53 am; and Sellers was admitted to the Emergency Room at Mary Greeley Medical Center at 3:19 am. Runyan was accompanied by Luke Abrams for drinking at bars and Sellers had been drinking at the party at Adelante. Runyan was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life at the state penitentiary at Anamosa.

President Martin Jischke made VEISHEA alcohol-free because of this incident.
