Less formal and "heavy" than Aunt Maude's, both in terms of decor and menu, but otherwise comparable in quality. Doesn't take reservations, but can often accomodate large parties of about a dozen or so. Has a separate bar area. Area designed as a coffee/dessert/boulangerie area originally has been given over to overflow seating for regular lunch and dinner dining, presumably because of the success of the restaurant. Kitchen is open-plan, visible from dining area. Best pastry chef(s) and bakers in town. Several great breads available, including ciabatta, ciabattini, French rolls, baguette, sourdough, multi-grain. Good espresso coffee drinks available. Offers take out box lunches with sandwiches.
