The closest sushi place (not counting Hy-Vee) to ISU, Taki is surpisingly delicious and has a variety of special rolls that would make a West Coast restaurant envious.

[edit] Food

The white albacore tuna sashimi is absolutely amazing--melts in your mouth.

The spider roll and Ronin rolls are extremely well-made and delicious.

The chef sometimes makes a sashimi shaped into a blooming-rose.

Wednesday is some kind of martini-special night, so expect a 45min+ wait for a table.

[edit] Prices

Those unprepared will discover Taki to be slightly expensive for the average college student. Teppanyaki dining averages about $24 a plate. However, those searching for traditional Japanese cuisine will not be disappointed. All favorites, including tempura, sukiyaki, yakitori, edamame, and miso soup are on the menu. Those searching for Asahi and Sapporo will also find themselves a new home.
