Sweet Afton was a punk/emo/rock band from October 2004 - November 2005. Played on Taste of Chaos tour in 2005. The band was a big hit with area high schoolers, and sold out Bali Satay shows in Ames. Sweet Afton was unlike any other Ames band, style wise. In August 2005 the drummer, Stephen Troskey, left the band and Chresten Hyde joined as the new drummer, making the lineup as follows: Wes Furhman - Guitar / Vocals : Seth Hoveland - Vocals / Guitar : Dave Moore - Bass : Chresten Hyde - Drums :

Wes has since moved to Arizona in pursuit of other opportunities and the remaining members hope to start a new project - building on the skills and popularity of Sweet Afton. Pure Volume Official Site
