StrangeTalk or just ST is a privately owned message board that caters to ISU students. It started in Fall 2000 as a link off of StrangeSearch. The first version was some forum software that didn't require logging in to create accounts and had very few users.
The second iteration (also owned by Dan) was an illegal copy of UBB bulletin board software. Josh changed this to phpBB, Windows 2000 and MS-SQL 2000.
Subsequent versions since the takeover by Vic have been using phpBB/Linux/MySQL with minor changes and more forums.
