Seneca Wallace (born August 6, 1980) was the starting QB for the Iowa State Cyclones Football team for the 2001 and 2002 seasons. In his first season lead the Cyclones to a 7-5 record and a loss in the Independace Bowl against Alabama 14-13. His last season at ISU had a record of 7-7 and ended by losing to Boise State 34 - 16 in the Humanitarian Bowl. He was then drafted into the NFL by the Seattle Seahawks in the 4th round of the 2003 draft and has been a backup QB there since.

In his senior season, he was considered an early Heisman Trophy favorite after his heroic performance in a loss to Florida State, which included a touchdown run that was selected as ESPN's #2 play of the year. The hype was further pushed by his stellar performance as compared to the eventual Heisman runner-up, Brad Banks, in ISU's 36-31 win over Iowa.

After beating Iowa and Nebraska, the Cyclones hit the top 10 and Seneca was coasting on Heisman hype. That all ended in a 49-3 horrific beatdown by then-#2 Oklahoma in the most anticipated matchup in ISU's recent football history. Seneca went 4-22 and threw 3 interceptions an'd established himself as a big-game choker that would end up turning in lackluster performances in the remaining games of the season.

Despite that, Seneca remains a much-vaunted figure in ISU athletics lore, and his young pro career has certainly gotten off better than rival Brad Banks's.
