Users
- Don't be a dick.
- New users should be unafraid to wiki. Write now, edit forevermore. Publicize and promote this mentality.
- all users should link aggressively. Any and all proper nouns, events, dates (e.g., July 6, 2005), years or slang that might have significance should be put in brackets. You'll never know what connections can be made.
RH and WP
- Rofflehaus is different from wikipedia, bring the local culture into the wiki. If we wanted dry commentary, we'd just link everything to wikipedia.
- The policies and guidelines of Wikipedia are considered policies or guidelines of Rofflehaus unless Rofflehause has a policy or guideline which contradicts Wikipedia.
Opinion
- Opinion is allowed, however, each side of a controversy must be given a fair share to express their opinion. Example: If some people like WAS and some people hate it, then the article should say so. If everyone loves The Gyro Man and no one disagrees, then the article can be one-sided.
Style
- Follow the Manual of Style unless you have a good reason not to. If you cannot follow the MOS for a page, give some reasoning in the talk page.
Notability
- Notable People should have their own article (as opposed to a user profile) if they've done something such that people would know them.
- Every Tom, Dick, and Harry does not need an article about themself. User profiles go on [[User:Username]] pages.
- While we encourage aggressive linking, everything in the universe does not need an article on Rofflehaus. Please link to Wikipedia for general articles. If it's on Rofflehaus please make it relate to ISU, Ames, or at least interesting or funny. Use your best judgement.
