A policy adopted by certain businesses to give items for free if the scanned price does not match the advertised price. Hy-Vee adopts this policy (for a good reason).

Do not deliberately abuse this policy. Don't ask for a price check unless you're absolutely sure a mistake was made. It's annoying and it wastes everybody's time. Also, once you've made them aware that a price is wrong, you can't go back and get more just to get it free.
