Morrill Hall is the second oldest building on campus with its construction completed in 1891. The total cost was $28,739 1. Though, the keystone of the arch above the main entrance is dated 1904.

Morill Hall was originally constructed to fill the capacity of a library, museum and chapel; these original uses are also engraved in the exterior stonework on the east side.

It has been vacated since 1996 when it was determined unsafe. In June 1996, Morrill Hall was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As of 2005, over $10 million was raised to renovate the buiding. Renovation started on May 16, 2005 and is due to be completed in the fall of 2006.
