The Department of Mathematics is part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Its offices are located on the upper floors of Carver Hall, and the department offers both undergraduate and graduate study in mathematics and applied mathematics.

The math department has no student organizations proper but has sponsored a local chapter of the national math honor society, Pi Mu Epsilon, since 1923.
