Margaret McDonald Stanton

Margaret Price MacDonald Stanton (October 22, 1845July 25, 1895) was the first wife of Edgar Stanton. Margaret was also the first Dean of Women at ISU and she did that for 25 years.

After her death in 1895, Edgar established a monument — the Campanile — on Central Campus with 10 bells.

Margaret Hall was named after Stanton.
