Like Knives was formed in 2003 by former Pookey Bleum members Aaron Hefley (guitar, vocals) and Jeremy Johson (drums). They were joined by Matt Goode (Argos) on guitar and Nick Consoer (The Canadian Wheat Lords). The basic idea was to not sound like Pookey Bleum. Perhaps having partially failed at that, they could at least take solace in having a (marginally) better band name.

The current lineup of Like Knives is: Aaron Hefley, Jeremy Johnson, and Drew Selim ( bass ).

Like Knives plays guitar power pop with quirky melodies and lyrics.
