Contrary to logic and other buildings named after departments (see Physics Hall), the Landscape Architecture building does not house the Landscape Architecture department. It did, however, house the respective department from it's remodeling in 1930 until 1978 (after the construction of the Design Center was complete).

Currently, it is used for English and Journalism "overflow."
