Jimmy Johns is a franchise chain of sub-sandwich restaurants. Their motto is "Subs so fast you freak," despite the fact you often wait and freak from boredom.
The Jimmy John's in Campustown is located on Welch Avenue at the location of the old Do-Biz Cookie Shop. The Campustown Jimmy Johns was formerly located on Hayward Avenue, behind US Bank.
Jimmy Johns is best known for their franchise owner attempting to shut down Smiles & Gyros because his gyro stand did not contain a restroom for customers.
(there's a mall location as well).
[edit] Food
Not bad for subs.
Their slices of thick wheat bread are excellent for sandwiches like the Beach Club.
For the french bread, they typically scoop/cut out some bread while putting the fillings in. Tell them to leave the bread in for more bready-goodness.
These subs are unique in that the innards tend to slip out from within the french bread. This makes for a tricky, but delicious sub!
[edit] Service
As their t-shirts suggest, the service is very fast! A few times I have received the sub before my change!
