Iowa State University Police Department (or ISUPD) is ISU's own police force. Touted to be as well-trained (or more) as the Ames PD, though they now carry scary hand cannons, in addition to tasers.

Formerly known as Department of Public Safety (DPS). However, the name was changed in 2003 to differentiate the police force from the parking division.
