Helser Hall is one of 4 dormitories in Union Drive. It was closed after spring 2004 to save money, and was being used by the Department of Residence as overflow housing until November 2005. Since the overflow never ended, it is still currently open and housing many unfortunate students.

Helser Hall is commonly referred to as just "Hell".

The north end of Helser was torn down in 2003 to make room for the Union Drive Community Center.

Prior to Fresh Start Helser was not alcohol free. Since the discontinuation of Fresh Start in 2004 Helser once again tolerates alcohol in the halls and students.

Helser does not have air conditioning and it houses all-male and all-female houses.

Helser Hall is no longer considered "overflow" housing and has no plans to close in the immediate future.
