Guide to foodservice

First thing to do is check the Dining Services web site to see if they are open and/or they have food you want.

Next thing is to chose where you want to eat: MWL, Oak-Elm, or the UDCC.

Go to the place you choose, and get in line.

Give them your ISU card, hopefully you have enough meals for the week. (They reset on Saturday, so be aware of this) They will swipe it and give it back.

In Oak-Elm and MWL, go through the line, picking what you want. Servers will make you a double plate, or something special, like spaghetti with no sauce, if you ask nicely. Go to the salad bar and pick any other food you want. Get something to drink from the dispensers. Grab some cereal or ice cream. Sometimes a sub line will be open. If nothing interests you, go there. The only food that can be taken out is ice cream, so eat it all at the table. After you are done, take the tray and all dishes, and place them on the beltline. Then, exit and go on your way.

At the UDCC, many areas will be offering a wide variety of food. The best thing to do in busy times is to grab some food, find an empty table, and put your stuff there, and go grab more. If the lower level is full, an upper level is available. Walk around and find the best food. Stuff yourself, you're paying way too much for a meal. After you are done, take the tray and all dishes, and place them on the beltline.

If you can't make it to a caffeteria for lunch, you can make a sack lunch in the morning.
