Greek Community
From Rofflehaus
In this article, the Greek System refers to the collective group of fraternities and sororities at ISU, whose names typically — but not always — consist of Greek letters. In this context, it has little to do with students from Greece or the study of the Greek language.
The ISU Greek Community consists of three main councils: the Collegiate Panhellenic Council (CPC), the Interfraternity Council (IFC) and the National Pan-Hellenic Council. The Office of Greek Affairs is the main website for the Greek Community at ISU.
The Greek Community is an active participant in a wide variety of events on campus and in the Ames community, including Homecoming, the fall and spring blood drives, Operation Playground, VEISHEA, and Greek Week. In addition, each chapter has a philanthropy they have pledged to support.
The Greek Community is one of the great ways for some students to find leadership, scholarship, and networking opportunities on campus.
