[edit] Restaurant Overview
If you overlook the wonderful Buddha sculpture at the front of the dining room, it's easy to see the disgusting atmosphere of this restaurant. Every time I've visited this place, I was joined by sevaral ants chilling out while I eat. It's nice to have company during the consumption of your sub par orange chicken, but this isn't what I had in mind.
When your underpaid waitresses dressed in the authentic Chinese outfits bring you your drinks, be sure to note how dirty the glasses are. Greasy fingerprints, food chunks from a previous customer, and convenient chipped glass to cut yourself on are all free. No additional charge for these bonuses.

I've worked at Golden Wok for a while, and I know what goes on behind the closed kitchen doors. Next time your order the egg rolls, guess how many times they have been dropped on the floor, then put back on the plates or in the to go boxes simply because, the managers don't care. It's not their food. Plus they've got 50 Mexicans in the back that don't speak a word of English. Real authentic.
If only you could see the conditions of the kitchen. Meat left out everywhere, egg rolls being prepared on a dirty table, and a generally unsanitary atmosphere. A dog wouldn't take a shit in this kitchen.

This Asian menace owns the Pizza Kitchens on Hayward, and the campustown Dairy Queen, as well as both Golden Wok locations. He is one of the vilest men I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Seemingly bipolar, on several occasions when the store is busy I've seen him yell at the top of his lungs at his employees. It should also be noted that he hates women, judging by the way he talks to them at work and gives them orders.
[edit] Assistant manager Barbie
The term assistant manager is used loosely; she assists nothing and certainly doesn't manage worth a damn. A white trash broad straight from the trailer, on an extreme power trip due to her lovely plaque that says in bold letters "Manager." She will act like she runs shit, but just remember that her $7.50/hr wage is both the source and reason for her anger.

Should you ever consider working for Golden Wok, quickly slap yourself in the face and rethink it. You will be fucked over many times by this establishment and it will not be worth your time. You will pay for your own gas when delivering Golden Wok's food, which amounts to around $10 a night. If you drive your own car, you are supposed to get paid $.50 a delivery, but you won't see a penny of it. Ever. Think about asking Kei about it? That sucks, cause you're getting fired the next day. Oh yeah, you also have to tip out the waitresses, but that's kind of misleading because the waitresses don't actually see the money. It goes to the manager.
In summation, join me in my quest of boycotting this place. Never even consider working here, and don't order unless you want a night of stomach cramps. Seriously, go to Little Taipei or something.
