Bant is a substitute for ban, banning, banned, bans.

Kazan, the former administrator of the now defunct FSeek Messageboard was the first person to use the word bant to the knowledge of strangetalkers, but he claims it was commonly used on various websites he frequents, when he was threatening to ban StrangeTalkers for spamming FSeek.

FAC stands for Friday After Class and encompases a variety of activities. Basically it could mean anything you do after class on Friday, but generally it takes on two meanings:

1. Going to a bar and getting wasted, plastered, hammered, smashed, or otherwise drunk off your ass at 5pm.

2. Going to a restaurant with a group or organization.

Most bars have FAC specials and the tradition is to start drinking around 5pm, or right after you're done with class.

Also, in the late 70's, stood for Friday Afternoon Club. This would apparantly consist of going to the M-Shop in the Memorial Union, buying a pitcher of wine and a pitcher of 7-Up, and mixing them to create your own wine coolers.

Ghey stems from many negative actions or attributes to what a person would think of a person that is gay. In that light, a gay person may do lots of ghey things.

The typical usage of ghey refers to doing something stupid, redundant, or pointless.

A ghey thread on ST could refer to a thread that talks about meeting a person in campustown, going to Jimmy John's, bragging about the people you have on your ignore list, or finding a spider and discussing it in detail online, or reviving an old topic that nobody would like to talk about anymore.

Doing something that is ghey could be driving to Des Moines to get your hair cut, buying trendy, yet ugly clothes, bringing your own toilet paper to a dorm bathroom, and/or driving a SRT-4.
