Ames banned Drink buffets. How sad.

Basically, a drink buffet is a special where you pay a cover at a bar, and drink for free thereafter. They were quite popular with students, as you can imagine.

Under the pretense that drink buffets encourage binge drinking, the city of Ames banned them a couple years ago. Any student with half a brain sees this nannyism for what it is; an unneccessary invasion of our civil liberties.

Luckily, bars learned how to fight back.
