The Department of Chemical Engineering was renamed to the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering in 2005, but the degree remains Chemical Engineering. The department's home is Sweeney Hall. CBE has one of the highest percentages of female undergrad students in engineering - 39% in 2004.
