Pornography that depicts minors. ISU's most infamous and surprisingly frequent online import.

The ISUPD often finds these cases serendipitously, either trolling on StrangeSearch for the obvious keywords, or a roommate notices the material from a glance at the monitor, or in one case, a website operator sends ISUPD the IP address of a student claiming to possess child porn.

• 1999 : Former professor admits using ISU resources to collect and disperse child pornography.
• April, 2002 : DPS arrests Jason Lighthall, a freshman in aerospace engineering in Welch Hall for possession of child pornography.
• October, 2002 : Two ISU students arrested for possession of child pornography.
• December, 2002 : One ISU student arrested for possession of child pornography.
• March, 2003: Assistant basketball coach, Randy Brown, arrested for possession of child pornography.
• April, 2003: ISU student arrested for possession of child pornography.
• October, 2003: ISU student arrested for possession of child pornography.
• April, 2004: Randy Brown pleads guilty.
• August, 2004: Regional leader of the Boy Scouts of America, Timothy Wallace, is arrested in the Memorial Union for network sharing child pornography.
• Spring, 2005: In a slow news week the Des Moines Register details over several days the life of child pornographer and former assistant basketball coach, Randy Brown.
