Charles Wright

Dr. Charles T. Wright, Jr. (November 9, 1941March 21, 2000) was a university professor whom was killed in a car crash outside of Eldora, Iowa.

Wright was born in Carbondale, Illinois. Wright received both his BA in mathematics in 1963 and his MS in physics from Southern Illinois University. Wright was one of the first people to be awarded a PhD in computer science at ISU.

Wright was an assistant professor in computer science from 1970 to 1979 (or 1976) and promoted to associate professor in 1979. In 1984, Wright became an associate professor of the newly created computer engineering department and was promoted to professor in 1992 and university professor in 1999.

Wright's research was in computer architecture and design.
