Carrie Chapman Catt

Carrie Lane Chapman Catt (January 9, 1859March 9, 1947) was an American women's rights activist. She graduated from Iowa State in 1880 at the top of her all-male class.

She succeeded Susan B. Anthony as president of the National American Woman's Suffrage Association and organized the Catt organized the League of Women Voters.

Catt Hall is named after her.
