Campaniling

Basically, smooching under the Campanile at the stroke of midnight.

Only upon committing this ritual does a student truly become an Iowa Stater. Mass Campaniling is when a whole bunch of people campanile at the same time. Usually done during large events like Homecoming or VEISHEA.

This is not to be confused with reverse campaniling.
