Atanasoff Hall was built in 1969 and known as the Computer Science Building. It was given its current name in 1988 and named after John Vincent Atanasoff.

The building's design is rumored to be reminiscent of an IBM punch card. Archaeologists are trying to determine what an IBM punch card looks like to verify this rumor.

Known for its ugly yellow shower tiling and its earthy aroma that may or may not be generated by the Com Sci majors that inhabit it.
