Adam Haluska (born November 16, 1983 in Carroll, Iowa) is one of the most hated former-Cyclone basketball players, namely for his defection to the rival Hawkeyes at a time when the program was undergoing one of its worst periods, with the resignation of Larry Eustachy.

On May 20, 2003, shortly after the Larry Eustachy debacle, Haluska assured fans that rumors of his leaving ISU were "totally false." Eight days later (May 28), to Athletic Director Bruce Van De Velde's apparent surprise, he quit the team. And about five days later, he announced his departure for the Hawks.

In a much-anticipated matchup at Carver Hawkeye Arena on December 10, 2004, Haluksa added insult and even more injury to injury when he led the Hawkeyes to a 70-63 victory; Haluska led the scoring with 20 points.

Haluska was a stellar high-school athlete. He currently holds the Iowa state high school 100m dash (outdoors) record 1. He is the fourth athlete in the history of the state to win four individual events: the 100m, 200m, 400m, and long jump. ESPN ranked him as the No. 10 shooting guard nationally out of high school.
