Aaron Gott was opinion editor for the Iowa State Daily for the 2006-2007 school year. He is a veteran of the Iraq War and mentions it in many of his columns. As opinion editor, he hired more people than in the past as well as maintained a balanced political diversity, including socialist sympathizers and Right-wing nut jobs. Gott relinquished his position to Josh Hillman, but continued writing columns until he graduated in December 2007.
